After breakfast, meet your driver for a transfer to the Old Town, where your local guide will be waiting for a private walking tour of Split (~2 hrs).

The tour focuses on Diocletian’s Palace, the vast Roman palace built in the 4th century for the emperor Diocletian. Today, the palace forms the heart of the city, with narrow stone streets, small squares, and houses built into the ancient walls. Visit the well-preserved Peristyle, the Cathedral of Saint Domnius, and the impressive Temple of Jupiter.

After the tour, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Walk along the seaside promenade, explore the small shops and cafés in the old town streets, or relax by the water at Bacvice Beach, known for its shallow bay and lively atmosphere.

After breakfast, meet your driver for a transfer to the Split Ferry Port ( 08:00 AM). Brac is the third-largest island in the Adriatic, and is famous for its durable white limestone, which has been used for remarkable buildings such as Diocletian’s Palace in Split and the White House in Washington. The island has a mix of quiet villages, terraced vineyards, and beaches that curve along crystal-clear waters.

Upon arrival in Brac, your driver will transfer you to the hotel, where you can drop your luggage and relax at the pool. In the early afternoon, take a short drive to a nearby winery to taste some of the island’s best wines, produced from grapes grown on its sun-drenched slopes. After the tasting, return to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

After breakfast, transfer to the Milna Port for the morning catamaran to Hvar Island (start at 08:30 AM) and arrive in Hvar Town. Hvar is one of the sunniest islands in the Adriatic, with over 2,700 hours of sunshine per year. It has a long history as a Venetian trading hub, which shaped its stone streets, palaces, and the fortress overlooking the harbor. The island is also known for its lavender fields, olive groves, and vineyards, producing wines that have been cultivated here since Roman times. Hvar’s coastline features hidden coves and small beaches, while the inland villages offer quiet charm and a glimpse of traditional island life.

Upon arrival (9:00 AM) walk to your hotel, (all hotels are within easy reach of the catamaran terminal), and drop off your luggage. Spend the day at leisure: explore the cobbled streets of Hvar Town, visit the Hvar Fortress.

Your journey begins in the expansive St. Stephen’s Square, one of the oldest and largest municipal squares in Dalmatia, flanked by the Renaissance-style Cathedral and the historic Arsenal. As you navigate the marble-clad streets, your guide will share stories of the island’s Venetian heritage and its long-standing tradition of lace-making and lavender production.

After the tour, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.

The tour reveals the island’s rich Venetian history and the master craftsmanship of its ancient stonemasons.

Croatian Islands Private Tour FAQs

Is this tour suitable for me?

If you enjoy a mix of guided activity and personal time, this journey is designed to give you both the local context and the freedom to explore. We pre-arrange all private transfers and ferry connections, which removes the friction of navigating the islands on your own. Most mornings starts with a two-hour walk led by a local expert to reveal the history behind the stone streets and help you find the best spots. This leaves your afternoons completely unscheduled, so you can experience the Adriatic at your own pace.

Dalmatia is Croatia’s iconic southern coastline, a region defined by its narrow strip of white limestone mountains and an archipelago of over 1000 islandsThis narrow ribbon of land, protected by mountains and screened by a massive archipelago, created a secluded maritime culture that remained independent and wealthy for centuries. I

Here, 1,700-year-old Roman palaces and Venetian plazas aren’t just monuments; they are the active homes, markets, and meeting places that form the soul of the Croatian coast. The region has a high concentration of UNESCO sites and centuries-old wine making traditions, which make it an incredible destination for those in love with the Mediterranean.

The most pleasant time to visit Dalmatia is during the shoulder months of May, June, and September, when you can enjoy warm temperatures and sunny weather without the peak summer crowds. However, July and August offer their own unique appeal with long, reliable days and the warmest water for swimming. By choosing these peak months, you’re signing up for a high-energy atmosphere filled with open-air concerts, cultural festivals, and the true “buzz” of an Adriatic summer.

The local currency in Croatia is the Euro  (EUR). While most places accept credit cards, it’s best to carry some cash for smaller vendors or locations where cards might not be accepted. You can exchange money in a bank or exchange offices in the bigger cities or withdraw from an ATM –  they are widely available across both countries.

Visa requirements for both depend on your nationality. Citizens from many countries, including those from the EU, USA, Canada, and Australia, do not require a visa for short stays (up to 90 days) within the Schengen Area, which includes both countries.

While these are the general guidelines, it is essential to confirm the visa requirements with your local authorities, as rules may change. Travellers from certain countries may need to apply for an e-Visa or a traditional visa before arrival.

Please, ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your entry date. We recommend consulting your local embassy or consulate for the most accurate information.

Our cancellation policy is flexible, and partial refunds may be available. For details, please refer to our Terms and Conditions or download the detailed itinerary. We strongly recommend getting travel insurance for such cases.
