Frequently Asked Questions

Who are your tours designed for?

Our tours are made for curious travellers who want more than just sightseeing. If you’re someone who enjoys learning about culture, tasting regional food and wine, walking through lavender fields, and talking to locals, then this is for you.

We attract people who value quality over speed, connection over checklists, and who believe that travel should engage all the senses. Most of our guests have travelled widely, and now they’re looking for something a little deeper, a little more meaningful.

What’s the pace of the tours like?

We design well-paced tours, and when needed ajust the pace for our custom itineraries. We don’t believe in crack-of-dawn morning starts or days lost to endless driving. Expect a few hours of driving each day (usually 2–3),  always broken up with stops.

Mornings often include guided walking tours and scenic drives, while late afternoons and evenings usually offer free time to explore, relax at the hotel, or enjoy a long local dinner. We aim for a rhythm that feels active, but never rushed.

What kind of accommodation do you use?

We aim to select unique accommodations when in rustic countryside settings or, when in a larger city, comfortable four-star hotels or boutique guesthouses located near key sites, so you can easily enjoy your free time.

What’s included in the tour price?

It varies by itinerary, but generally:

  • Comfortable accommodation (hand-picked hotels or guesthouses)

  • Daily breakfast

  • Comfortable transportation throughout the tour

  • Professional, passionate local experts and guides

  • Entrance fees and activities listed as included

  • Cultural and sensory experiences like wine tastings, distillery visits, and more

What’s not included?

  • International flights

  • Airport transfers
  • Travel insurance (strongly recommended)

  • Most meals

  • Gratuities for guides/drivers

Can you accommodate dietary needs?

We’ll do our best to make sure you’re well taken care of. Just let us know as soon as you book so we can communicate with our partners on the ground. That said, some rural areas have more limited options – but there’s always fresh produce, hearty soups, and good wine.

Do I need a visa for the Balkans?

Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Citizens from many countries, including the EU, USA, Canada, and Australia, do not need a visa for short stays (up to 90 days) in most Balkan countries. While these are the general guidelines, it is essential to confirm the visa requirements with your local authorities, as rules may change. Travellers from certain countries may need to apply for an e-Visa or a traditional visa before arrival.

Please, ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your entry date. We recommend consulting your local embassy or consulate for the most accurate information.

How do I book?

You can send us an inquiry through each tour page or email us directly. We’ll answer any questions you have and guide you through the booking process. A deposit secures your spot, and we’ll provide all the pre-trip info you need.
