We’ve done quite a few small group tours in Europe, and this one was among the best. The meals were delicious, and we learned a lot about olive oil production and local wines. There were a few hills to walk up in inland Istria, but it was worth it.

We really loved the boutique hotels we stayed in – they were all our “excellent” choices, just because they were so clean, the service was exceptional, and they were preserved in history which was amazing to see!! So I definitely recommend adding more of those if you can in the tours.

This trip gave a good overview of these ‘unseen” countries without feeling rushed. Each place was interesting in its own way – Tirana was lively, the famous library in Pristina was quirky, and Lake Ohrid was simply beautiful.

This was one of the most memorable tours we’ve ever taken. The route from Albania into Northern Greece showed us a side of the Balkans we would never have discovered on our own. Every day included something unique – historic towns, scenic landscapes, and delicious meals. The farm lunch and wine tasting in Albania was one of our highlights. Our guide was super friendly and knowledgable, he kept the group relaxed, and answered every random question we had. Highly recommended if you enjoy good food and local experiences.

We really enjoyed the mix of food, culture, and beautiful scenery on this trip. We loved the choice of food and restaurants, as well as the wine tasting and ferm-to-table culture in Albania. The days were full but never stressful. The border crossing into Greece took longer than expected, but otherwise, everything went smoothly.

"A trip that will be hard to beat !! Ever!!"
These is so much to do in the Balkans……it takes time and prior investigation of the countries to have a profitable and enjoyable trip, but even then it is difficult because one does not really know the details of the countries from afar. We loved the private tours we had with only the Four of us…..it was very much tailored to our tastes and what we thought we might like and we loved that. With all your advice and suggestions and our guides and driver, we had a trip that will be hard to beat !! Ever!!
